ATTENTION SIR WALTER RESIDENTS!!!!

Hello Sir Walter Residents! We are sorry that the weather did not permit us to have the picnic at beautiful and newly renovated Pullen Park, but we are now rescheduled for May 8th, 2012; we are leaving at 10:30a!

Thank you to those of you who attended the Recycling Meeting and a special thank you to Ms. Bianca Howard with the City of Raleigh for such a wonderful and informational presentation. For those of you who were unable to attend, here is a quick highlight of the information we received. In each trash room on the residential floors, there is now a small green bin. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS BIN FROM THE TRASH ROOM. In this bin, you should place items you want to recycle such as glass, newpaper, plastic bottles and cans. Please lightly rinse cans and bottles to avoid bug infestations. Please DO NOT put pizza boxes or large cardboard boxes in the bin. We look forward to helping you learn more about recycling.

I am working hard to correct the situation with the new vending machines. I have reported the money losses several times and the vending machine company has attempted to fix it. If you lose money, please write it down and drop the note into the rent slot. I will then let the vending machine company know who lost money and attempt to get your money reimbursed. Thank you for working with me as I attempt to correct this issue.

Thank you,
Felise M. Knight, Property Manager

The Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel is downtown Raleigh's oldest surviving hotel building; constructed between 1923 and 1924. The hotel was constructed on a corner of Fayetteville Street; Raleigh's broad main street. At the time, the Sir Walter was the most massive building in the south portion of the business district.
